Sarah is our Project Director. With extensive experience working with children and young people of all ages since 1994, Sarah has worked in a variety of settings such as preschools, senior schools and charities that support children with special needs and emotional needs and spent 6 years at the local Youth Offending Team before joining Inclusion Ventures. Sarah is a qualified Child and Adolescent Counsellor and Yoga Teacher.
Jordan attended IV sessions from the age of 7 years. He has been a well loved Youth Worker for the past 9 years. Our children and young people relate to him as he grew up on their Clacton estate. He's particular interest is running our Bike Kitchens alongside volunteer Con.
Layne McShane is a Youth Work having completed 2 years apprenticeship in Children and Young People's Workforce in 2018.
Ruby our newest Child and Adolescent Worker joined us summer 2019 A previous beneficiary she is a passionate advocate for children and young people and the Percy King community. Ruby’s motivation ensures even the most timid of personalities gain the confidence to try new experiences.
We are thrilled thtat Claire has joined the IV team again. Claire Youth Worker for 6 years in the past, ewnt on to work as a Team Leader in a local care home, where she gained extensive experience in mental health, dementia and learning disabilites.
Cloe is our newest member of staff. A familiar face Cloe was a sessional worker for IV years ago before moving on to work in two local senior schools in admin and pastoral support roles. Shes now back supporting children, young people and their parents
Bank Youth Worker Jade recently gained a 1st degree in Law. She has a passion for travel and is about to teach English to children in China.Jade helps in youth sessions whenever we need an extra pair of hands and is a creative artist and musician
Con is our Bike Kitchen Volunteer, he runs both Clacton and Jaywick kitchens every week without fail whatever the weather. A keen cyclist he is passionate about enabling children to be independant and learn the skills to maintain their own bikes. He also leads the Trishaw Project.
Ellie is one of our trustees, she joined us in November 2017 soon after completing a 1 year secondment with Business in the Community as A Business Connector in Clacton.
Sandra is proud to be a born and bred Clactonian, Mum of 2 great grown-up kids. She is a qualified careers adviser, who has worked in education for more than 20 years, offering additional pastoral support. Sandra has now joined the IV team to share her knowledge, while gaining experience of working in the community.
Lisa is one of our Trustees an accredited Counsellor and qualified Play Therapist. Since qualifying in 1999, she been working with adults, adolescents, children, families and couples in various settings. She specialises in working with people affected by mental ll-health, childhood sexual abuse, domestic abuse and trauma. She’s a mother of two adult children and has two dogs. She likes sailing, hiking and almost anything with sugar in it!
James is our dedicated Bike Kitchen volunteer. His love of cycling and then fixing began at 3 years old. As an adult he ran his own garage, and enjoyed racing cars. He currently teaches Bikeability in schools.
Becca is our trustee with a strong background in occupational therapy. Currently working in community mental health in NE Essex. With her support we hope to gain support of 3rd year OT students from the University of Essex
Rickie spent some time as a child carer for 8 children after school hours in total who had ADHD in Michigan US. In her personal time Rickie has a passion for poetry and is now published. Since being back she has volunteered cooking for isolated adults and helped paint the local community Centre
Demi is IV’s Assistant Administrator. One of our home grown staff. She is an avid bookworm and natural organiser. Her sunny face is the first to greet you in the office.
Our newest child and adolescent worker, another home grown member of staff, Chloe has previous experience in pre-school settings.
Sandra is a qualified youth worker and Baptist Minister and has spent over 25 years exploring spirituality and faith with children, young people, and their families. She has led a broad spectrum of faith based and community youthwork mainly in the North West of England, including detached work, youth clubs, schools work and residentials both in the UK and abroad. She is passionate about raising up the next generation of leaders and releasing the potential of children and young
Rosie recently joined our team of trustees. Currently busy running Essex Pedal Power she has a wealth of experience in culture and arts. We initially met through her work for Colchester Art Centre and then as Manager of Jaywick Martello Tower, where she developed cultural events at the heritage building. Rosie brings an energy and positivity to our local community.
